Grafton, IL is a small tourist town at the confluence of the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers just north of St. Louis. There are great riding roads, especially down the Great River Road to Alton and across the Ferry to Calhoun County, There is also lots to do in town, and hiking along the river bluffs.
Camping, RVs, and Hotel lodging is at Pere Marquette State Park. More lodging is available 6 miles down the road at the historic Rubel Hotel and Aerie’s Resort. There are lots of BnB’s as well.
2026 Un-Rally dates are August 21-23
Please RSVP and review the Schedule below.

Host Hotel:
The main Host Hotel is the Pere Marquette Lodge and Conference Center 6 miles up the road in Pere Marquette State Park. The Pere Marquette Lodge is a larger hotel complex with a pool, optional private cabin rooms, RV park and campground.
Lodge Reservations Link. Campground Reservations Link.
The secondary option is the historic Ruebel Hotel in downtown Grafton. They are a cute 147-year-old hotel right on the main drag on the riverfront. They have an attached bar/restaurant with a patio, plenty of trailer parking in the rear, and gas station across the street. They said to get the best rates, you’ll want to use their website https://www.ruebelhotel.com/ and not a secondary booking site.
Schedule:
Loose schedule.
FRIDAY – Roll in whenever. If you’re staying at the Lodge at Pere Marquette State Park, check-in time for lodge rooms is at 3:00pm and check-in for cabin rooms is at 4:00pm. there is plenty of parking in their parking lot.
Friday afternoon –
Want to ride? Get a group together (buddy system style) and take the ride up to Hardin and back. It’s a 45miles, ~90 minute loop through the countryside. You can either take IL-100 there and back, or come back south on the Illinois River Road and take the free Brussels Ferry across back to Grafton. A good short ride would be through Pere Marquette State Park, and take a ride through the woods on Scenic Drive. There are a couple of scenic overlooks on top of the bluff, and long and short trails to hike if you wanted to stretch your legs. You could also head down the Great River Road to Alton. Alton has a historic downtown on the riverfront, lots more bars, and restaurants, and is also home to the Argosy Alton Belle casino. My favorite place in Alton for relaxing is Fast Eddie’s Bon Air.
Otherwise, hang out in Grafton! There are touristy things to do, like take a ride on the Grafton SkyTour! There’s also now an Alpine Coaster at the top!
There are plenty of restaurants and watering holes to visit. All of the bars are good. If you’re hungry, we recommend O Jan’s Hot Fish Stand or Grafton Oyster House. If you do take the SkyTour, you can visit Aerie’s Winery at the top of the bluff.
Friday evening: Dinner on the fantastic patio at Grafton Winery and Brewhaus. Then we hit the strip. Pub crawl down Main Street Grafton. Bloody Bucket, Grafton Pub, 3rd Chute, Drifters, etc.
Saturday –
Satuday morning – Get some breakfast at the Pere Marquette Lodge & Conference Center. They serve breakfast from 7am-10:45am. Prep your ride. Gas up, you’ll need it! The gas station is across from the Reubel Hotel in Grafton.

Saturday Evening – Let’s say…7pm? (Sundown is at 7:46pm so that leaves some daylight) Group dinner back at The Hawg Pit BBQ, or maybe somewhere else if we feel like it
Saturday night – Who knows! Bloody Bucket? 3rd Chute? Pool party back at the Lodge? All of the above? Let’s see where the night takes us.
SUNDAY – Breakfast at Pere Marquette Lodge again. Depending on how folks are feeling and departure times, we could do another ride, perhaps to Hardin. Or take a hike in Pere Marquette State Park. Or just hang out. Or whatever.
